Sachin Aggarwal is Chief Executive Officer of SkyCan Systems. An entrepreneur, investor, lawyer, and former public-policy executive, he brings deep experience in building technology businesses, raising capital, leading acquisitions, and working at the intersection of industry and government.

At SkyCan, Sachin is focused on building Canadian industrial capacity in unmanned aviation and translating operational requirements into a sustainable defence technology business. His priorities include advancing strategic partnerships, establishing manufacturing capacity, and developing the commercial and organizational foundations needed to serve Canadian and allied defence customers. His approach connects technology development with the practical requirements of procurement, production, and long-term support.

Sachin’s work reflects a broader interest in Canada’s ability to develop, own, and scale strategically important technologies. He brings a perspective that combines company building and investment with an understanding of public policy, government decision-making, and the role of domestic industry in national security.

Before SkyCan, Sachin served as Chief Executive Officer of Think Research Corporation, where he led its growth into an international healthcare technology platform serving clinicians and healthcare organizations across North America and Europe. He built and integrated a portfolio spanning clinical software, healthcare services, data infrastructure, and medical education, including through the acquisition and growth of several businesses. Sachin's experience at Think informs his approach to scaling technology in complex, regulated markets where reliability, evidence, and institutional trust are essential.

Through West 49 Investments, his private investment platform, Sachin invests in and supports businesses across defence, technology, healthcare, and other strategic sectors.

Earlier in his career, Sachin practised law at Torys LLP and served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Canada's then-Leader of the Official Opposition. He serves on the board of the Council of Canadian Innovators and is a Fellow at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy.

Sachin was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2017 and was recognized by MaRS Discovery District’s Portraits of Innovation. He holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, a law degree from the University of Toronto and has been called to the Bar in Ontario and the State of New York.
