The Hon. Peter MacKay KC PC served as Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of National Defence, and Minister of Justice and Attorney General, among other roles, during his nearly twenty years in Parliament. While in Cabinet, he also chaired Canada’s National Security Committee.

Peter was called to the bar in 1990 and served as a public defender and Crown Attorney in Nova Scotia before being elected to Parliament. He is Senior Counsel at McInnes Cooper, and at Deloitte Canada, Peter focuses on defence modernization, justice reform, illicit finance, infrastructure, and economic development, and recently took on the lead role for Arctic strategy.
