Jody Thomas is one of Canada’s most trusted defence and security leaders. From 2022 to 2024, she served as National Security and Intelligence Advisor to the Prime Minister, where she led the federal government’s coordination of intelligence, cyber threats, Arctic security, and efforts to combat foreign interference.

Before that, Jody served as Deputy Minister of National Defence, where she guided Canada's defence policy, military readiness, and institutional reform. She has also served as Commissioner of the Canadian Coast Guard.
